Description

This is Luke, an evil magician boy character I've been developing...

Drawing this one was so delightful... I got it all done in about 5 hours... Work just flowed and quite frankly, I guess this was one of the best drawings i've ever done, if not the one.

Based on a very dear friend =) I'm very glad he liked it!

I hope you all do, too.

As promised.

I'm just going to say now, you did a wonderful job with this one. My suggestions will be minimal and my praise will be cut short, due to the fact that there are too many good points.

So, with that, you did a great job with coloring and creating a character. The lines are crisp where they need to be crisp and textured where they need to be textured, namely in the hat.

There are two things I would like to point out entirely. First is your method of lighting. I really like the light source and color. However, one thing you notice when you shine a colored light, green in this instance, not all reflections will be green. For example, doing so on skin would create a more yellow light, as would happen on the red of the card. Another thing it would do is create a different base shadow. I do believe it makes a red shadow, but that's something you'd have to experiment with or Google on your own. If anything, applying color theory will really make a good piece much, much more interesting.

Another little nit pick I have about this is the light source behind the hand, or at least, the miscoloring of the hand. It brings me to believe it belongs to another person. If that is the case, then disregard the proceeding. However, if not, I would suggest keeping an eye out for the color sources. They lights do not match up. Or, if there is a white light shining on that, reflect the shadows of it onto the character or make sure it is evident on the hat and rest of the face, not to mention make sure it blends well with the rest of the green light. Multiple sources are tricky.

Anyways, that's it for now. It looks great, excellent work with anatomy and the such.
